Facilitating life skills for emotional & mental well-being to children and youth 3 - 18 years & their schools

Private Programming for Emotional & Mental Well-Being

Not everyone is comfortable within a group setting and sometimes a group environment is the goal, but we need to start with private programming in order to deliver effective programming to a student's needs. Private sessions provide the opportunity to tailor classes to the specific needs of a child or family or group. Sometimes families simply want more connection, or parents want to show their support and increase their understanding of a child and as such, sessions can also include other family members. You may also create a private group.

Sessions can support a child in areas of:

  • Understanding and Acceptance of the Self
  • Self-Worth
  • Body Image
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Depression
  • Grief
  • Developing Healthy Habits
  • Self-Regulation
  • Goal Setting and Focus
  • Communication
  • Compassion and Connection to Others

The more insight and understanding we have into the condition of a child, the better we are able to develop an effective therapeutic plan for his/her needs and place you with the most appropriate instructor for your needs.

Using the tradition of yoga as the base, classes also utilize activities drawn from the fields of Social and Emotional Learning, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Development Cognitive Neuroscience.

Through practice, the goal is to be able to provide children with the ability to utilize the skills they learn on their yoga mat within their every day life, as well as help develop a home-based yoga practice so they can continue to ground themselves in their teachings. As such, it must be remembered that yoga is called a practice for a reason...it takes time!
