Creating Emotional Well-Being & Self-Regulation through Mindfulness, Movement and Positive Psychology

Children are given many strategies to help them self-regulate and create their emotional well-being, but when it comes to the moment in need, they are often unsuccessful at drawing on these tools. Why? It takes a mind-body connection to know when, what, how and why to use so many of these strategies they have been taught! In this hands-on workshop learn how to effectively facilitate life skills such as breathing techniques, tools from positive psychology and movements drawing from the tradition of yoga to assist students to not only have the tools, but to embody the tools, so that it becomes a healthy habit they can successfully use in a time of need. 

 A 90 minute interactive workshop which includes electronic resources (workbook & posters) to participants. Cost: $325.00

Yoga It Up: Promoting Physical, Emotional & Social Development through Yoga
Yoga goes beyond the traditional thoughts of poses and meditation. Yoga offers the ability to provide a program that fosters physical, emotional and social development all at once. Research suggests that this type of programming can help improve: academic learning, social interactions, focus, self-control, self-regulation, problem solving, creative thinking, and both mental and physical well-being.
